A fashion journal for a world that dresses differently.
Our story
Drapeworld began with a simple frustration: the clothes we wore to weddings, Eid and family dinners rarely appeared in the magazines we read, and when they did, they were treated as costume rather than style. We started writing about Pakistani and Indian dress with the seriousness usually given to a Paris runway, and found readers in London, Toronto, Dubai, Houston and Karachi who had been looking for the same thing.
Today we cover fashion from every region, with ethnic and bridal wear at the centre. We report on the designers, weavers and ateliers behind the clothes, explain the trends worth following, and give practical advice on getting dressed.
